HugABull

Founded in 2013, HugABull Advocacy & Rescue Society is a community committed to rescue, advocacy and outreach for bull breed dogs. We advocate for responsible ownership of all breeds and for evidence-based, breed-neutral laws in our communities.

Our foster and adoption program is at the core of what we do. We pull great dogs from the shelter system and match them with foster homes and ultimately, to loving and responsible forever homes. As a responsible rescue, we take steps to ensure that dogs and applicants are screened thoroughly to set both up for success. Since our inception in 2003, we have matched over 500 breed ambassadors to wonderful homes.

HugABull is run entirely by volunteers. We are always looking for passionate, motivated people who can make a commitment to our organization. Beyond foster care and adoption, there are many ways to make a difference!

Small Animal Rescue Society

The Small Animal Rescue Society of BC is a registered society run by volunteers. Our primary focus is to rescue and rehome small animals in need. Neglected, injured and abandoned animals are our main priority.

Small Animal Rescue works to provide a safe haven for small animals in need while promoting responsible pet guardianship through education, advocacy, and spay/neuter initiatives.

There are many unwanted animals in our care, and in the care of shelters everywhere. Please consider giving one of these animals a kind and loving home.

Network for Animals

Network 4 Animals

Our mission is to have companion pets spayed and neutered. There are simply too many unwanted animals and not enough homes. Unless these numbers decrease, countless animals will continue to suffer needlessly. Shelters everywhere are overflowing. Spaying and neutering is the only way to reduce the numbers of unwanted pets. We provide financial assistance to spay and neuter on a restricted basis and only as funds are available.

Our primary focus is spaying and neutering. There are many groups dealing with adoptions. We can provide referral numbers for services that are already in place. We can assist most efficiently by concentrating on reducing the number of unwanted animals needing homes.

Animals are cared for by foster homes when space is available. As space is at a premium it is used for the animals that have no one and are most in need. We do not take unwanted pets. We keep a list of animals needing homes and homes available, and have successfully placed over 203 animals.
